Library of Congress photos available on Flickr

The Library of Congress has partnered with Flickr in a pilot project designed to increase user access to the Prints and Photographs Division's 14 million prints, photographs and other visual materials. The project currently includes 3,000 images for which no copyright restrictions are known.  The library is encouraging users to tag and make notes on images to help enhance the background information pertaining to the photographs.  Additional information about the project can be found on the library's website.
