Dear Georgetown Law Graduates and Friends of the Law Library,
With a rich array of electronic resources and comprehensive print collections, the law libraries at Georgetown are committed to excellence in service while supporting high-level scholarship and utilizing the latest technology. Truly, the Edward Bennett Williams Law Library and the new John Wolff International and Comparative Law Library are superior academic resources worthy of a school like Georgetown and housed in buildings of significant architectural distinction.
The Georgetown Law Library is a reflection of the Law Center's continuing dedication to an exceptional legal education. For two decades the library's collection crowded the second and third floors of the Bernard McDonough Hall, spilling over shelves and limiting student space. When the Edward Bennett Williams Library opened its doors in January 1989, cramped space made way for a grand atrium, an abundant open area for studying, group meeting rooms and unprecedented technological advancements. The new Wolff Library added space and superb new facilities for the study of International and Comparative Law in 2004.
Along the way, the Friends of the Edward Bennett Williams Law Library was created to provide much needed support to both keep up with the latest advances and to build the collection of historical resources. We invite you to join us now. Create a legacy for tomorrow and enjoy the benefits of membership.
Best Regards,
Georgetown Law Library
