The first step in publishing is to review a list of law reviews and law journals, which will help you decide where to submit your article. The following resources provide current listings of law reviews and law journals.
There are several sources and tools to assist in the process of selecting and submitting articles.
These sources provide the address and detail information that you need to submit an article.
Law Journal Submission Service, Washington and Lee University Law School Library. Submit articles directly from this web site to journals that accept electronic submissions. There is no charge for this service. There is a listing of law reviews by title, subject, country or rank. Link to the records in each listing for submission rules and policies, addresses, and cost information.
ExpressO is a fee-based electronic article submission service.
- Faculty: Contact Anna Selden in Faculty Support Services.
- Students: Create an account on the ExpressO web site. One free submission is provided.
Information for Submitting Articles to Law Reviews and Journals is a chart listing the submission requirements (including any special requirements) for many law reviews. It was last updated in March of 2010.
SSRN (Social Science Research Network) is an online repository for law faculty scholarship. All submission information for Georgetown authors is available at http://www.law.georgetown.edu/faculty/papers/.
