GULLiver is the catalog of the over one million volumes held in the collections of the Georgetown University Law Library. GULLiver provides bibliographic information (e.g., title, author, publisher, publication date, and location in the Library) for all of the Library's treatises, journals, government documents, database subscriptions, CD-ROMs, audio and videotapes. Using GULLiver, you may also search for course reserve materials and view and print exams. GULLiver is available through the Web at http://gull.georgetown.edu.
For more help finding items using GULLiver, ask at the Reference Desk or Circulation Desk.
To find information about a book or journal, and to find whether an item is available, try these options:
If your title or author search retrieved too many items to browse, and you would like to limit your results, click on the "Limit/Sort" button located at both the top and bottom of the results screen. A new screen will appear where you can choose to limit by year, author, title, subject, or publisher. You can also choose to sort your results by date. Note: limiting keyword searches must be done on the initial keyword search screen. To revise a keyword search after you have your results, click on the "modify search" button.
The “Exams & Course Reserves” option on the main menu allows you to search for exams and Course Reserve materials. You may search by professor or course name. Items with a location of "Course Reserve" are kept behind the Circulation Desk. You will also find links to view or download past exams on the Web from this option. Login to MyGULLiver before searching for past exams.
You may view your circulation record by clicking the “MyGULLiver” link at the top of the main search page, then entering your name and GoCard number.
Unless a hold has been placed on an item, Georgetown students, faculty, and staff may renew an item by logging in to MyGULLiver. Once you are logged in, click “Checked Out Items” button, then follow the instructions to renew some or all of the titles.
To recall a book that is checked out, click on the "Request" button at the top of the book's catalog record. Most recalls take about 7 days.
