Water Resources GIWA Water Regions Divides world's oceans into 66 subregions, and provides information and links to major intergovernmental agreements and actors, actions programs and research, state of the regional environment, GEF projects in the region, and other actors, initiatives and resources. An excellent resource. GLOBWINET - Global Water Information Network provides abstracts and links to information on water legislation and policy, water conflicts, water reform, and other topics of a regional or international scope. International Water Law Project Companion site to The World's Water. Offers a list of documents on water law, such as international multilateral and bilateral agreements (list of citations, some with links to full text). Also offers bibliographies on selected regions and topics, with some entries linked to full text. The World's Water: The Biennial Report on Freshwater Resources Excellent reference tool. Includes data and information, an extensive collection of links, and a chronology of world water conflicts. Transboundary Freshwater Dispute Database includes a searchable full-text database of 150 water-related treaties and 39 interstate compacts. Components to be added in the future include case studies of international water conflict resolution and an annotated bibliography with approximately 1,500 entries. UNESCO Water Portal "provides links to the current UNESCO and UNESCO-led programmes on freshwater and will serve as an interactive point for sharing, browsing and searching websites of water-related organizations, government bodies and NGOs, including a range of categories such as water links, water events, learning modules and other on-line resources." Includes the World Water Assessment Programme. Water Observatory is produced by the Institute for Agriculture and Trade Policy. It includes news, a document center with documents from IATP and other organizations. The Water Page incorporating the African Water Page. Water, Sanitation and Health (WHO) Water and Sanitation Program Originally a project of the World Bank and UNDP, it now involves more than 15 bilateral and multilateral donors. It focuses on rural and small town water supply and sanitation and services for the urban poor. Most of its publications are available free online. Water Research Network Includes an extensive bibliography and links to project websites.
