Center for International Environmental Law is "a public interest, not-for-profit environmental law firm founded in 1989 to strengthen international and comparative environmental law and policy around the world." Two sections of the web site are particularly relevant to "Trade and Development": "International Financial Institutions" provides critical analyses of the World Bank and its projects; "Trade and Sustainable Development" provides information about the research CIEL engages in with hoper to create a more balanced global economy.

Global Trade Negotiations Home Page is a project of the Center for International Development at Harvard University. The Environment page offers an extensive collection of research and position papers from a variety of sources, including NGOs, think tanks, scholars, and government. Also a collection of related links.

Global Environment and Trade Study (GETS) was established in 1994 by the Yale Center for Environmental Law and Policy and the Institute for Agriculture and Trade Policy. It "seeks to provide better analytical underpinnings for the 'trade and environment' debate." The site includes a database of documents in 27 topic areas related to trade and the environment.

International Center for Trade and Sustainable Development is a non-govermental organization that aims to promote better understanding of environmental issues related to trade. The web sites provides news and analyses.

International Environmental Law is a detailed research guide created and maintained by Georgetown Law Library.

International Environmental Law (ASIL), by Anne Burnett, is another detailed research guide on international environmental law.

North American Commission for Environmental Cooperation

OECD Enviroment contains many reports, news articles and statements on various aspects of environment and development.

UNEP Economics and Trade Programme site includes manuals and policy tools which assist negotiators, policy-makers and practitioners in incorporating the environment into trade and economic policies.

Trade and Environment Database TED (American University) is an inventory of the impacts of trade on environment and other issues. There are about 700 TED cases studies. The database is searchable.
