Law Center Archives

The Law Center Archives is the official repository for the Georgetown Law records. These materials include historical published and unpublished records since 1870; official publications of the Law Center, such as law journals, alumni magazines aGeorgetown Law class of 1928nd program brochures and newsletters; images and audio-visual materials documenting events at rhe Law Center. Many of the materials in the Archives have restricted access and may not be available for use, but official publications and various other materials, such as images, audio-visual materials and maps and posters are available for use, under certain rules.

The Law Center Archives is open Monday through Friday, from 9 am to 5 pm, and by special appointment. It is located in the Special Collections and Archives Department Reading Room, on the west side of the second floor of the Edward Bennett Williams Law Library. The law library is located at 111 G Street, NW, near the Union Station and Judiciary Square Metro stops. Parking is limited, so use of public transportation is recommended. The Law Center Archives is open to all users who present photo identification and who agree to follow the rules governing use of items in the collection.

The Archives welcomes inquiries related to all aspects of the Law Center's history.
