Library Carrels

Unassigned carrels are available to all Library users. The Circulation staff will assign a carrel for an entire semester to upperclass or graduate students (and others at the discretion of the Access Services Librarian) with special research needs. Assigned carrels are tagged with the patron's name and expiration date. Materials must be properly charged out to a carrel in order to avoid removal by Library shelvers. When the assigned student is not using his or her carrel, any user is free to occupy it. Materials stored in a carrel will still be available for use by other patrons; however, those materials should be returned to the carrel from which they came. Please review the Williams and Wolff policies associated with this service. If you would like to reserve a carrel for yourself, simply sign up at the circulation desk and we'll assign you a spot based on availability.
