Unless an item is overdue or has had a hold placed on it, Georgetown students, faculty, and staff may renew items by using the "Renew Books " option on the Library's online catalog, GULLiver. All items that have not been requested by another patron may be renewed in person at the Circulation Desk by providing the title of the item to be renewed and a valid Georgetown University ID card.
All patrons with valid Georgetown University ID cards may recall or place a hold on an item that has been checked out. Recalls or holds may be made by selecting the "Request Item" option while viewing a record in GULLiver or in person at the Circulation Desk. Each patron has a guaranteed two-week period of possession for an item checked out from the general collection. After that initial two-week period, due dates may be revised to an earlier date if the item is requested by another patron. A notice is sent to the borrowing patron stating the revised due date. If a recalled item is not returned by the revised due date, a fine of $3.00 per day will be charged. More information on the Law Library's circulation fine policies can be found here.
