Circulation Desk

Please note that the Circulation Desk closes 15 minutes before the Library closes. All transactions must be completed at that time.

Reading Room Hours - Williams Library

The Reading Room and the Computer Learning Center in the Williams Library remain open to Georgetown University Law Center students, faculty and staff until 2:00 a.m. each day the Library is open. The Library is closed the following holidays: New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day. If the Library is closed for other reasons (weather, emergency, early dismissal, etc.) the Reading Room and Computer Learning Center will also be closed.

A valid Georgetown University Law Center ID must be presented to the Public Safety officer on duty in order to gain access to the Library at this time.

Other parts of the Library, including the general stacks, are not accessible and regular library services, including circulation service, are not available.

John Wolff International and Comparative Law Library

The International Reference Desk is staffed during the hours below. Prior to noon on weekdays, please come by the circulation desk to ask for the reference librarian.

Exam Periods, Breaks, and Holidays

The Library's hours change during exam periods and between academic semesters. See our occasional hours page for more information. During exams, we also have a policy of restricted access. Students from other law schools will not be admitted during this time. Public patrons and alumni will continue to be admitted.

The Law Library is closed on the following holidays:
Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day
