Live Research Help on Our Web Site

The Library offers research assistance, using chat software to connect you to one of our librarians -- no matter where you are.

Who?

This service is available only to Georgetown Law Center students, faculty, and staff, or students and faculty from Georgetown University who need help with legal research.

When?

The service is available whenever the Reference Desk is open.

How?

When the live help service is open, simply click the button

live help (chat with a reference librarian)

that you'll see on many of our webpages. You will be connected to one of our librarians who will help you with whatever research question you have. Depending on your needs, we may recommend that you come into the Library in person, or schedule a research consultation, but we'll do our best to help you remotely.
