Reference Desks

United States research assistance is provided at the reference desk located on the second floor in the main Reading Room of the Edward Bennett Williams Library. When classes are in session, the reference desk is open from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday; 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Friday; and 12:00 noon to 6:00 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Between sessions and during the summer, there is no evening or weekend reference service. You may also request a U.S. research consultation with a reference librarian to strategize seminar paper research or submit a reference question via email, by phone or through Live Help.

International and Foreign research assistance is now offered at the John Wolff International & Comparative Law Library. During the academic year, the Wolff Reference Desk is open from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m Monday through Thursday and 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Fridays. Between sessions and during the summer, there is no evening reference service. The International & Foreign Law Librarians are available for reference assistance, individual research paper consultations (international), class presentations, and other teaching support activities.
