The Administrative Services department section provides the framework within which the law library operates to achieve its mission and vision. It is responsible for planning, budgeting and staffing in a library of over 1.1 million volumes and volume-equivalents, seventy two full and part-time employees, and nearly half a million visitors annually. The law library is a department within the Georgetown University Law Center and works closely with, though it is independent from, other Georgetown University Libraries.
