Collection Development - Services

The staff of Collection Development supports the teaching, research and scholarship of the Georgetown University Law Center by acquiring material or obtaining access to it, by maintaining the collection in a current and orderly state, by preserving it, and by providing bibliographic control over legal and law-related information in all formats.

Additions to the Collection

Who Can Suggest Titles?

Any user of the library, including students, faculty, Public Patrons, Friends of the library and members of the Georgetown community.

How Do You Do So?

Use the Title Recommendation Form or contact Barbara Monroe (202-662-9139) for U.S. materials; or Marylin Raisch (202-662-9159) for foreign or international materials.

Gifts and Donations

Who Can Make Gifts?

We accept gifts of materials from anyone.

What Do We Accept?

We accept everything from individual volumes to entire collections. Generally, we do not accept donations of casebooks, reporters or supplemented materials.
