Welcome to the home page of the Georgetown Law Library's Legal Research Tutorials. Created by reference librarians from the Williams and Wolff libraries, and geared primarily towards students in Legal Research and Writing, these tutorials cover a range of basic legal research topics. We've incorporated interactive techniques, using flash-based animation, to promote active learning. As you navigate through the tutorials, you will find a variety of legal research database simulations, including Lexis, Westlaw, THOMAS, WilsonWeb and even government web sites.
The products of months of research and implementation, these tutorials consist of several parts, most concluding with a short quiz to reinforce the important points. We're constantly updating these to provide the most current information available on the resources used for fundamental legal research and we're always seeking to improve the tutorials so your comments and observations are most welcome!
