Code

A systematic compilation of laws that is arranged by topic. The laws are codified in volumes according to their titles, chapters or section. For example, the American federal tax code is codified at 26 U.S.C. § 1, et seq. – in other words, Title 26 of the United States Code, beginning and continuing from section one.
