Welcome Visitors

Welcome to the Georgetown University Law Library. Well known for its extensive research collections in United States and international law, the Library also offers a wide variety of services to facilitate the research and teaching interests of all of our users as well as an inviting and comfortable facility in which to study and relax.

The Library is open to the Georgetown community, including graduates of the Law Center, and to faculty and students from other law schools. Identification cards are checked at the entrance.

Law firms, institutions and other organizations may apply for membership in the Library's Public Patron Program, which provides access to all of the Library's collections and to on-site reference assistance. Public Patrons are not eligible to use the Computer Learning Center or the Student Computer Lab and are not provided with access to Lexis and Westlaw.

All members of the Friends of the Library Program also enjoy access to the Library's collection and to on-site reference assistance.
