About the webDevBlog

At Georgetown Law Library, much of the content we provide to our users is delivered the library's website and our catalog. We're interested in providing a feature-rich website that adheres to web standards (as closely as possible), while making our content as accessible as possible. This web development blog (aptly named just "webDevBlog") serves at least three purposes. It is a place for us to:

  1. tell our visitors what we're doing with web-based services and technology tools
  2. document choices we make regarding graphic design, advanced technology and web-based projects
  3. share ideas with other libraries and information providers confronted with the same problems we face

Beyond this, we can use this blog to experiment with new designs and technologies in an open forum for others to comment on our work. We don't see this as a primary tool for legal researchers, and we don't see this as a tool we'll market or promote to faculty or students. All who care to read this blog are welcome to do so. People who only care about passing law school exams and getting a job after graduation should look elsewhere for information.
